Australian Catholic University (ACU) is an inclusive community which welcomes students and staff of all beliefs. We are seeking further researchers (senior, mid and early career) of outstanding achievement with expertise in gender and women's history to join our recently established research Centre within ACU’s Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences in research-only continuing positions*
Under Director Professor Joy Damousi, the recently-established Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences will support ACU’s continued growth and success in the humanities and the social sciences. The Institute will consist of a number of research centres which includes the Gender and Women’s History Research Centre.
*Explanation note: These positions are not fixed-term but continuing, which, in the Australian context, means there is no end date and would normally continue until such time as the staff member resigns or retires.

The Gender and Women’s History Research Centre delivers new research energy and critical visibility to the University’s core commitment to equity, diversity, accessibility, wellbeing and sustainability, by signalling the importance of gender research exploring the experiences of a diverse array of women and men in times past.
The research of applicants should therefore encompass gender and/or women's history, in any geo-cultural context, from the early modern period (1450) to the modern era.

Total remuneration valued to $168,435 - $185,409 pa, including salary component $142,700 - $157,208 pa (Academic Level D), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
