Expressions of Interest: Sessional Teaching staff for Law units
Thomas More Law School
North Sydney and Melbourne campuses
The Thomas More Law School (TMLS) at Australian Catholic University is seeking suitably qualified sessional staff to deliver lectures, tutorials and workshops across a range of undergraduate law disciplines. TMLS is a national school which operates across four campuses offering accredited law degrees.
Expressions of interest are being sought for a range of law units to be delivered on the Sydney and Melbourne campuses. All sessional staff will be expected to undertake marking in their units.
Sessional lecturers usually have a relevant Masters degree and/or significant relevant professional experience in their area of expertise. Applicants with completed or substantial progress towards a doctoral qualification in law will be favourably considered.
Expressions of Interest must include a CV of not more than 3 pages, together with recent student evaluations, if available. Applicants should list their qualifications, previous employment history, if any with ACU and provide a brief overview (one paragraph) of previous teaching and areas of teaching expertise together with any ranked publications, memberships of professional associations and any relevant industry experience and engagement in the last five years.
Applicants with teaching experience are particularly sought in the following areas of law:
On-line Migration Law –Various units.
Criminal Law and Procedure
Public and Private International Law
International Trade Law
Legal Research and Reasoning
